Have you ever wished you could go back and buy Apple stock, or Amazon stock, when you first heard about it?  How different would your life have been if you had known then what you know now?  Most of us have had those thoughts at times.  Have you asked yourself about what decisions you could make now that would change your life two years from now, or ten?  It isn’t so easy is it?  Most of us don’t get the chance to benefit from hindsight.  But what if you could?

Senior care giving is hard work, even if it is a work of love.  It takes time, patience, and lots of love… and can drain us of energy over time.  Now, add a pandemic.  Senior communities were locked down with almost no warning.  Seniors who were accustomed to social activities and visits from family and friends were suddenly isolated and lonely.  Caregivers were trying to find ways to meet needs and provide care without adding to the risk of infecting seniors with this invisible threat that could take their lives.  It was heartbreaking to hear stories from family caregivers and professional caregivers who wanted to find a way past all of the obstacles.

Technology offered some solutions, but many of the oldest seniors weren’t able to use smartphones or tablets.  They can be challenged just by the TV remote at times.  FaceTime, Zoom and Skype were beyond their grasp without training, which wasn’t readily available during the pandemic.  What many did was wish they had thought of a solution earlier.  Hindsight is 20/20, right?

At Senior Technology Solutions of Colorado, we’ve heard these same thoughts from many caregivers in the last six months. It has made us want to do more to let people know about our easy-to-use senior technology.  Our systems provide one-touch video, medication reminders, and even activity monitoring and tele-health features that any senior can use.  It has the power to change the lives of seniors and caregivers during this pandemic and beyond.  No one expected a pandemic, but it happened.  What if it happens again, or continues for another several months? What other challenges might the future hold? Will you look back and wish you had acted sooner?

Let us help you evaluate how technology can make a difference in the lives of the seniors for whom you care.  Whether you are caring for a loved one, or you are a professional caregiver for many, or a senior living community, we can help you be ready for the next crisis… or maybe even prevent one.  Don’t look back and wish you had acted sooner.  Contact us today!
